ChatChamps

Allow your Twitch chat to participate on screen with ChatChamps!

Setup Instructions:

• If you don't have one already, create a bot account that ChatChamps can use to send and listen to messages in your Twitch chat.  Creating a "bot account" is no different than a regular account, it is just an account that won't be controlled by a person (although you may want to put something like "bot" in the accounts username to make things clear to your viewers).

• Next, while signed in to your bot account open https://twitchtokengenerator.com/ and select Bot Chat Token. Authorize the site to access your account and you will see a list of tokens associated with your bot account, you will only need the Access Token, so store that somewhere safe and accessible as you will need it any time you run the game.

You should now be set up, when you run ChatChamps you will be asked to provide your stream username (this is your main account, the one you're actually streaming from) and the access token you received from your bot account. Hit Start and the game should be connected to your stream. The game can receive messages from your offline chat so feel free to test the connection before you go live by typing something in offline chat, you should see a character with your username appear on screen.

Use with OBS:

• For the overlay to work properly, record ChatChamps as a Game source in OBS and make sure to enable "Allow Transparency".
